The Key Things Most Brands Keep Forgetting

Your brand isn’t what you say it is. It’s what people remember about it.
And in today’s world, forgettable simply means invisible.

Want people to actually remember your brand? Do this:
- Be clear, not clever. If people need to “figure out” what you do, they won’t bother.
- Use the 2-second rule. If your brand isn’t recognizable in 2 seconds, it’s not working. (Think Starbucks cups, the Netflix logo, or the sound of an Apple Mac turning on.)
- Trigger emotions. People don’t remember facts, they remember how you made them feel. Build experiences, not just campaigns.
- Be consistent. Same voice, same look everywhere. Confusing branding is forgettable branding.
